Position Summary
The Water Treatment Technician conducts, as directed, water sample collection and field testing for industrial water treatment clients and prospects. Performs installation and repairs of controllers and pumps to effectively implement a complete water treatment program. Conveys all issues encountered with immediate supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Handles the collection of samples and applicable field testing at assigned client locations as scheduled.
Report preparation of water analyses and recommendations (submit to management)
Maintains reporting of chemical inventories and usages.
Interface with existing customer base
Conducts surveys on prospects as assigned.
Maintain testing apparatuses and test kits including all reagents, filters, glassware, etc.…
Handles assignments to receive and move materials, components, and other items.
Physical inspections of Cooling Towers for overall cleanliness
Submit weekly Standard Work checklist and time sheet.
Keeps immediate supervisor up to date on all projects, with regards to project status, completion time, and any problems that may have arisen during a site visit.
Work on prospecting as time allows.
Performs other special projects and duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
High School diploma
Mechanical aptitude is required with moderate analytical skills
Ability to work independently
Good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be able to perform Mathematical calculations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division)
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests and agree to random testing.
Must possess current Driver’s license with ability to travel locally to client work sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
Related Associate's or BA/BS Degree with chemistry coursework
Laboratory or field experience using wet chemistry testing methods
Experience handling hazardous materials
Experience working with various controllers and chemical feed pumps.
Sales experience a plus
General OSHA knowledge/training
General understanding of Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers, and closed loops systems

The employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move chemical drums using proper techniques and equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to various potential dangers including toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in some work environments may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary. All safety rules and regulations of clients, and CPC must be strictly adhered too.

THIS IS A PART TIME TO FULL TIME POSITION
SALARY: $20 - $35 per hour dependent on experience and education. Position does receive use of company vehicle
